Role: Art Director; Producer

See highlights from the feature below or view the full story on Artsy.

We chose to lead this feature with an impactful header video that, interwoven with supplementary footage and commissioned video portraits, encapsulates the most iconic moments and individuals in visual culture in 2017. This is followed in the article body with moving portraits of key individuals and imagery to illustrate their work and widespread impact.

Solange Knowles is included in this feature for pioneering work merging art and popular culture in 2017, and for bringing forth an affirming image of black pride and femininity. The video above was captured in a New Orleans swamp by Rush Jagoe for Artsy.
